Why is my check engine light on?

A check engine light means the vehicle's computer stored a trouble code because a sensor reading fell outside the expected range. A steady light means get it checked soon. A flashing light means stop driving and call us.

Why are my brakes making a grinding noise?

Grinding almost always means the brake pad material is gone and metal is now riding on metal. Every mile you drive on it adds rotor or drum damage to a job that was going to be pads.

How often should I get my tires rotated?

Every 5,000 to 7,500 miles for most vehicles, which conveniently lines up with an oil change. Check your owner's manual, because some all wheel drive vehicles want it sooner.

How much does it cost to replace a water pump?

It depends almost entirely on your engine. The part is often modest. The labor swings widely depending on whether the pump is bolted to the front of the engine or buried behind the timing belt.
